I still remember when i was a little kid, my mom used to make different desserts for me. She loved to feed me and that was the reason she always tried to make different recipes of desserts. I was also a dessert lover and no matter what kind of dessert she had made, i loved to eat that. One day, she made a new dessert for me and in that dessert she had added custard, cookies and jelly.

Having custard with jelly toping is very common but having cookies in that dessert was a new but good experience for me. However, time passed by and i grew up. Now is the time when I’m a mommy and i have to make desserts for my kids. Just like me, my kids also love eating desserts. One day, when i was making custard for them, i just got a flash in my mind about cookie dessert that my mother made for me. I decided to make that dessert for my kids as well.

I was confused about the cookies because i didn’t know which cookies were used by my mom. I decided to use Oreo cookies because there is no replacement of these cookies. So, i named it Oreo dessert. Below is the recipe for Oreo dessert and it is very easy and simple. You can make it in a just 20 minutes in your own house. I bet that your kids are going to love this recipe of Oreo dessert.

First of all you will need custard powder that will be mixed in milk. Normally, 1 litter milk is enough for a dessert. You can take a complete sachet of custard, mix it in one cup milk and then add the mixture into all the milk that is remaining behind. Make sure you have mixed all the milk and custard with each other. Now start cooking the mixture and by that time, mix jelly in hot water and then put it on fire. Let the jelly cook for 5 minutes while custard will take approximately 15 minutes to be cooked properly.

Take the jelly mixture and put it in refrigerator so that it can be chilled properly. Now, while waiting for the custard to be cooked properly, make sure that you crush Oreo cookies into small pieces. Once you see that custard has been cooked and now it has turned into a thick material, take it out in a dish. Now, you will need to add the crushed Oreo cookies into the thick mixture and mix it further. Make sure that crushed cookies are properly mixed in the custard.

Now you can keep this Oreo dessert in refrigerator for couple of hours. Don’t try to get the Oreo dessert out before that time because it should be chilled properly. If you want then you can eat Oreo dessert at any time after making it but if you will wait for some time so that this dessert can be chilled then you will really enjoy eating the dessert.
